  • Bandwidth: Typically, if a cable has a higher frequency of MHz, the transmission speed is more efficient. Cat 8 transmits and can handle much higher data throughput. We recommend using a minimum of Cat6A for any network cabling.

  • Speed: The speed of transmission changes according to the category, which determines the effectiveness of the cable therefore CAT5e cable can transmit data of speeds up to 10/100 Mbps for up to 90m whereas CAT8 can handle speeds of up to 25 Gbps or 40Gbps for 30m.   • Crosstalk: "bleeding" or “Alien Crosstalk” of signals between cables in a bunch due to "induction" can result in slower network transfer speeds, or even loss of signals over the cable. This is typically overlooked when designing and installing the cable network.
